Help with iCalendar
Overview
Never forget an auction again!
Law&Cottrill supplies iCalendar files for its auctions as a service to the customer. Using the standards-compliant iCalendar format, appointments may be added to desktop calendar software such as Microsoft's Outlook, Apple's iCal, and many more, simply by downloading a .ICS file and importing this into your calendar application.
You can add individual auctions by visiting the Catalogue and clicking the Add link.
Support
Care has been taken to make our iCalendar files as compatible as possible with a wide range of applications. We have tested the feature with:
- Microsoft Outlook 2000 SR-1
- Microsoft Outlook 2003
- Apple iCal 2.0.3
- Google Calendar
- WinDates 5
- Mozilla Sunbird
Troubleshooting
Some common problems with iCalendar files:

I use Mac OSX and when I click on the link to add to calendar, I just get a page that begins with something like "BEGIN:VCALENDAR"...
We are not sure why this happens, but you can follow this work-around:
- Hold down the ALT key and click on the Add Event link
- This will save the ICS file to your desktop
- Open this file in iCal to add the event to your calendar.

Clicking on the 'Add to iCalendar' link doesn't start any calendar software
You must have iCalendar-enabled software installed and set up to be able to use the iCalendar feature. See above for a list of the tested software.
